The objective of the Nail Tech Instructor Program is to provide the Nail Instructor with the knowledge of teaching principles of Nails as a profession. Emphasis is placed on the aspects of theory and practice of Nails in the teaching of the skills. Instructor trainees will be under the direct supervision of a licensed instructor at all times. The curriculum in this school of Nails for the instructor training course shall be completed within four (4) months and totaling 250 clock hours of training as stated below:

The Nail Instructor’s course consists of 250 clock and credit hours. The first 100 hours are devoted to classroom workshops, where you learn principles, technical information and laws, rules and regulations of the State Board. The remaining 150 hours are spent in the clinic area, where you gain practical experience. Here you have the opportunity to put your talents into practice, as you work with teaching students under the close supervision of your instructors. NAIL TECH INSTRUCTOR Program - Nail Technician Instructor Training

Students are evaluated on a regular basis on subject matters. The evaluations are measured on a standard percentile basis and the percentage converted to a letter grade and/or a point grade. The evaluation form reflects the overall attendance and academic progress of the student. Students must maintain a 67% average or better in attendance and a 70 % or better for practical work and theory to maintain satisfactory academic status. The grading system detailed below is the system utilized in the school.

Cosmetology Instructor Training (non Credit)

Chicago Nail School is located in historic, Blue Island, IL. Our mailing and school address is 13004 S. Western Avenue, Blue Island, IL. 60406. We are centrally located to both bus and train routes and ample parking is available at our school location, and the surrounding area. Chicago Nail School is licensed by the, Illinois Department of Professional Regulation, 320 West Washington Street, Springfield, IL 62786. Chicago Nail School will ONLY admit students beyond the age of compulsory school attendance in the State of Illinois that have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. A student beyond the age of compulsory education and lacks a High School Diploma or its equivalent can be admitted under the school's ABILITY TO BENEFIT POLICY. Manicurist Nail Technology Training

Chicago Nail School admits students on the basis of ABILITY TO BENEFIT POLICY, ONLY if the student PASSES a nationally recognized aptitude test and is enrolled in a GED program.

Chicago Nail School - Nail Technician Instructor Training

Prior to beginning classes, each student MUST provide a copy of his or her High School Diploma or GED equivalent, Social Security Card, a Driver ‘s License or State I.D and a Birth Certificate and any other documentation that may be required, along with filling out an application.

Prior to beginning classes, each student must provide a copy of his or her High School Diploma or GED equivalent and/or Cosmetologist license or Nail Technology License. This program is only qualified for students with a valid nail technology license for at least two years.

Nail Technician License Programs In San Antonio

Credit for previous training will be given only if a CERTIFIED TRANSCRIPT is presented from a Licensed Cosmetology School or Licensed Nail Technology School. Credit for out-of-state training must be submitted to the governing state board before being accepted by Chicago Nail School. All course work will be shortened accordingly, and all records of previous education will be maintained in the students permanent record file. Upon receipt of a transcript of previous hours, the students tuition will be adjusted accordingly and the proper agencies notified.

The graduation requirements for this school have been established in accordance with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation, the required hours of graduation for each course of study offered are as follows:

Manicuring Instructor Training (Non Credit) - Nail Technician Instructor Training

Cosmetology Instructor Program

Part 1 will cover the Nail Technology Course (350 hours) which is designed to give students in-depth educational experience in the field of Manicuring. Once the student has completed Part 1 of this course, he or she will be prepared to take the State Board Examination, and must take and pass the nail tech portion. The student will then be allowed to continue Part 2 of which will prepare them to become an Instructor. In Part 2 students will then cover the following subjects:

The student will then take a Final written examination and must pass with a score of 75% or better. A diploma will be issued along with a transcript and the student will then take a State Board examination to be licensed as a Nail Technology instructor.Due to an extensive waitlist, this program is currently not accepting adult applications. Manicurists provide services to customers related to beautifying the hands and feet. Our nail technician training program prepares you for this speciality service career by giving you the opportunity to practice professional techniques and work with real clients in our on-campus salon.

 - Nail Technician Instructor Training

Manicuring Training Program

Already licensed nail technicians with two or more years of experience can use this program to take the next step and become a licensed instructor. Due to the extensive education required, qualified instructors in this specialty field are in demand. The curriculum includes teaching methods, learning philosophies, and professional development.

You will learn massage techniques, arm, hand, leg and foot anatomy, manicuring, pedicuring, and various artificial nail applications. Upon completion, students qualify to take the State Board of Cosmetology and Barbering exam for licensing as a manicurist/nail technician. 

This career major's curriculum meets the professional licensure requirements for Oklahoma but does not meet the licensure requirements for all other states.

Nail Technician School

Before beginning classes, students enrolled in the Nail Technician career major must provide a birth certificate and high school transcript, as well as a 2x3-inch face photo less than one year old and a cashier's check ($5) payable to the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology and Barbering (OSBCB). A social security number is required on the initial application, and it required to obtain a manicurist/nail technician license from the OSBCB.

 - Nail Technician Instructor Training

To enroll in the Nail Master Educator career major, students must have a Manicurist/Nail Technician license issued by OSBCB with a minimum of two years documented experience.
